They dropped albums every 3 to 2 years. 4 years isn't that long but from Ill communication to Hello Nasty that 4 year gap felt long.

Now they haven't dropped an album for 8 years.

They are one of the greatest. Multi millionaires.

But I always felt they were in the game but out of the game.

Where as Kool Keith dropping albums every 2 or 1 year. He feels so current always.

What do you think?

I know...when is that new album coming out? I can't understand for the life of me why they aren't dropping a new album every year along with a massive worldwide tours, nah mean?

Oh wait...

hey did you ever think that maybe the reason they haven't dropped in 8 years is because one of them died?

I know.

Also when bands change lead singers and keep the same name it's not good.

Is that it then after the death of MCA?

Did Wu Tang stop after the death of ODB?

It does change things.

Ok cool.

Why don't they do solo work produced by Alchemist, Dj Premier, Muggs, Necro, Dr. Dre, Mf Doom and Kut Masta Kurt then?

They're in another world. They were asked about Em's Kamikaze throwback art and Ad Roc was like thats cool. I met Em briefly once in a bathroom in europe.

They just released a book.

I only heard ill communication, licensed to ill, Paul's Boutique, check your head, and Hello Nasty.
My sister got the boroughs one.

Aesop Rock I read praised them for having such a clean history.

They did the Tibet thing.

They actually were like Rock Stars.

always funny when people don't class them as Hip Hop

but the punk thing is a given they started out as a punk band

they are just very different but still Hip Hop

Either Aesop Rock doesn't know his history or he was takin the piss, when you consider this:

The Licensed to Ill tour was clouded in controversy featuring female members of the crowd dancing in cages and a giant motorized inflatable penis similar to one used by The Rolling Stones in the 1970s. The tour was troubled by lawsuits and arrests, with the band accused of provoking the crowd. This culminated in their notorious gig at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, England, on May 30, 1987, that erupted into a riot approximately 10 minutes after the Beasties hit the stage and the arrest of Adam Horovitz by Merseyside Police. He was charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.

In the middle of reading their book right now.
Highly recommended. Theres a great part, referring to the backpack thing that started in tbe 90s, about how in the early years of hip hop in the early 80s it wasnt cool AT ALL to have a backpack unless you were going to or from school. Adrock talks about when you brought a bunch of tapes and a walkman out to listen to for the day you had to just cram it all in your pockets, you never considered carrying your stuff in a backpack. Also you were a square if you wore a backpack on both shoulders, everyone wore it on one shoulder

Fuck you Gino, Beastie Boys were living the life while you were still a little sperm in your daddy's Corrupt Italian shriveled hairy balls.

They were rapping with New York's finest while you were a little shit taking spelling bees in 2nd grade playing pogs out of your teenage mutant ninja turtle lunch pale.

I bet you think you're real a tough ITalian guy now huh, always talking about your dick and shit.Too bad you look a Mexican construction worker from Socal you bi polar bitch.

they don't "suck", yea they was a novelty act, but that first album to me is a classic. most of yall wasnt even born yet, so you had to have been listening to rap already and been there to truly get that albums impact.

Paz, Necro, Apathy, etc were all wiggers i went HAM for back in my late teens/early 20's. Nowadays i can bump them in very small doses but their music didn't transcend time like Beasties and Em have where i can bump all their old shit any day of the week.

Sabotage was when i went from surface fan, as i was only 12 years old at the time, to full fledged fanboi for the next few years. Still one of the more impactful songs/videos for me as a youth in regards to me and hop hop.
