really slept on amongst the last decade...
chief, charon, reef, and state store (especially with his singing) all kill it....beats are pretty damn good too. i think it gets overlooked because it dropped in '05, which was an awful year, but this shit is bangin to me.
best tracks: black of dawn, never walk alone, this, my squad, angel feathers, no chorus

yeah, ted was my dude....wonder what the hell happened to him. he hooked me up with a physical copy of reef's 'invisible empire' when i asked him....they're probably next to impossible to find these days. i don't think good hands puts anymore music out though. they did have some nice records....priest's 'the offering', dev rocka's 'night shift', the charon/huggy album, this album, feast or famine from 'reef'. shame they're not around anymore.

I think posters who have been around the longest probably have the most job security..that or in Wicked's case just have no life.

Just reminded me to look for Charon+Huggy's first album. I was looking for it awhile ago but didn't have any luck. Finally just found it.

posted Tuesday, June 19, 2012 5:29:03 PM yeah charon and reef were ill on here. the entire group had a ton of talent actually. surprised vinnie/jmt didn't try and bring them to the forefront more and give them more exposure and instead chose weed carriers like doap nixon and demoz

posted Tuesday, June 19, 2012 10:28:00 PM the beats on this are absolutely fucking horrible. exactly the kind of uninspiring lame shit that makes the divide between prime mid-90s era hip hop and post 2000 era flip flop so depressingly apparent. you could say they're 'hard' , you could say they're 'solid', I'll just call them 'mediocre shit'.

posted Wednesday, June 20, 2012 8:55:26 AM kamachi and priest is a dope pairing usually. they have very similar content that they rhyme about usually. I find Kamachi too be far less boring and monotonous though and a good offset to Priest's sometimes unbearable boring ramblings.
this album was one of the better ones form 05 for sure.
Jacked - thats my favorite kamachi track too. AG deaded that shit and Kamachi was sharp as hell too.

posted Thursday, June 21, 2012 10:19:06 AM Co-sign. Dope album, definitely one of my favorite albums. It was a breakout album for Reef most of all imo, since he released his great second solo album after this one that year. It's too bad that there won't be a follower for this one, I would love to hear them all together today. I'm wondering where Charon Don and State Store had gone...
