Oddly enough it always reminded me of Kool Keith meets the West Coast. Loved the way Ace sounded on that album. Classic

posted Friday, June 22, 2012 3:45:51 PM Haha, yeah...I always thought of them as being an entire crew along the lines of Kool Keith on the West Coast..but with their own styles. Glad they've worked together on several occasions.
Which P.E.A.C.E. album, Jones? I'm assuming Southern Fried Chicken but Megabyte and all his others are dope too.
I'd say the OP has the main ones covered and ABOHL is the best overall to me but I'll add:
And some newer ones:
I pretty much like all the releases from FF, and their members and Ab Rude consistently..the others, it depends but Tabernacle has not released anything that wasn't dope.

posted Friday, June 22, 2012 4:52:38 PM The collective is pretty loose so there never has been an "official" roster. That is part of their problem, if they had their shit together and actually had a "Project Blowed" label that supported all the artists who helped build "Project Blowed" they would be practically unstoppable. Only one the member of FF is officially under the "Project Blowed" label, lol.
Anyway, here is another good one:

posted Friday, June 22, 2012 6:06:50 PM Yeah, they got loads of talent but very little business sense so lol at them for that I guess...usually how it goes. I think the world is fair as far as the talents each one of us have and it makes sense to me that if you are extremely talented at one thing, you gotta lose something somewhere else.
I'm surprised how many people here are sleeping on Tabernacle MC'z..they are more along the lines of that style most of you are comfortable with.

And yeah...Like I said, everyone's taste is different and I just figured Tabernacle MC'z fit the more traditional hiphop style that a lot of people here are used to. Amad Jamal is dope though. He always comes correct with good, visual lyrics. He is on a rare track with Myka 9 and some others if you have this mixtape:

posted Friday, June 22, 2012 8:12:42 PM When I listened to Tabernacle, I didn't get a traditional hip hop feel at all. The church/gospel theme with beats that sound pretty southern, heavy on the hi-hats etc. and a west coast style gangster flow with aggressive conscious lyrics. I would put that AJ in that category though.
Was Blak Forest part of Project Blowed? Saw them perform w/ ATU, Medusa and Divine Styler at a show in LA when I was out there. Pretty dope, also.

posted Friday, June 22, 2012 8:59:09 PM Haha, I guess i was wrong then...the Gospel shit is just a gimmick they use about the "Church of Hiphop and Financial Prosperity", LOL...But yeah, it's on some gangster shit that I guess is what I meant is more acceptable around here.
AJ is definitely more traditional style too, whatever that is...I'd say he has Cube style storytelling ability with a more likwit style flow. Anyways, I think both are pretty dope and some of my recent favorites.
Yeah, Blak Forest is definitely affiliated. The old and rare Blak Forest and Otherwize releases are all pretty dope. How long ago was the show you saw? I heard Otherwize got thrown into a moving a train or some shit like that recently but he survived. All those guys are great live though...Medusa has been killing it at shows lately.

Grand Imperial (2006) is worth checking too. one thing i wouldn't recommend - Lightning Strikes. One reason Tabernacle isn't more popular is that it is hard to find anything of theirs to download for free online, presumably because they don't stand for it.
I know you can stream their music, and I understand why they would want to stop illegal downloading, but these days I don't think that is a good strategy at all. There is just too much music out there that's free and easy to get.

posted Monday, June 25, 2012 5:47:26 PM celestial clockwork, I'd say Timetable is the best album to start with but It's All Love: An American Nightmare has the most raw, grimy killer raps on it. Mykology was pretty sick though so...
Graph, Phoenix Orion actually came out west early on from the EC and has been with PB ever since.
Good Life=Project Blowed...PB basically came from Good Life. I've tried to list the whole crew along with artists they strongly influenced here before but here are just too many to know if I ever got them all. There are crews like the 5000 Crows that were a big part of the formation of PB that I'm sure most people have never heard of.
I'm sure the reason why more Tabernacle is not available for free is because Born would do damage to anyone he found stealing his shit, Lol.
And yeah, ABOHL is one of the best and my favorite albums of all time...I think Myka is a better overall MC but he hasn't made a complete album like that unless you count some of the group albums. Speaking of which, I can't believe I forgot to mention this: This would have to be one of my favorite albums of all time that gives ABOHL a run for its money..I actually listen to the Haiku De'tat album more.
Couple more I like from PB members not mentioned yet:
