The Gangrene album is amazing. Trophies is good, sort of lost its replay value though after 5 spins. Haven't really wanted to hear a single other album this year. Hip hop is real fuckin boring right now. Interested in that Kevlaar 7 and Planet Asia though. I looked for copies of the Doppelgangaz on amazon but couldn't find shit. I don't download music anymore, just bought a new laptop and don't feel like getting all the necessary programs and shit. I'm lazy haha just wanna cop shit that's good.

posted Wednesday, June 27, 2012 7:00:24 PM yeah there's a ton of artists with bandcamp pages these days where you can cop their music (digitally or physical) and stream the entire albums straight from the page too. most of them you can just order from there and pay straight through paypal.
got the kevlaar album a week or two ago on bandcamp....dude even hand signed it with my name too, which was cool....9 bucks.

posted Wednesday, June 27, 2012 7:10:22 PM Yeah I think the Gangrene album knocks like a motherfucker. I don't think the sound is all that weird, the samples are kind of different but that's dope. A psychadelic sound like the theme. Emceeing is proper...V&A and Gutter Water are two of my favorite albums from the past several years.
I've never fucked with a bandcamp. Guess I'll peep. I'm laid up at the crib all week with a broken ankle, using up my PTO which sorta sucks but whatever. Bout to pop a Vicodin and watch the Orioles.

posted Wednesday, June 27, 2012 7:51:20 PM So...I've had a slow day at work so I've been checking out some more of the shit people here are big upping. Checked some of the Ab-Soul shit and it's alright, don't think I'm in a hurry to cop that album anytime soon though. The Gangrene shit sounds better but Ab-Soul probably has better lyrics. Not really motivated to buy either. I already mentioned ealier what I think of KRIT, Killer Mike/El-P and the Appolo/OC. I have the Planet Asia album but haven't even listened to it yet.
Fuck, the best stuff I've heard lately from here was that Co$$ album from last year..Thanks again Jacked!
I dunno, I guess things haven't changed much lately though...the crews I always thought were talented and consistent are proving it to me again. I'm gonna get a few Hiero releases and maybe pick up the latest El-P album.

posted Wednesday, June 27, 2012 9:15:30 PM Wicked, the album '2012:The New Beginning' album which is on their Bandcamp is getting remastered and pressed up on at least CD. It's not an instrumental album, I actually think it's better than Lone Sharks. Also, go to their official website for the Lone Shars vinyl, it's out right now, but it may come back in stock. They don't really deal with any third parties from what I can tell, and release all their physicals either through Bandcamp or their site.

And yea The Doppelgangaz are ill as fuck. I slept on them for a couple years until Loan Sharks dropped. Since then have copped physicals of all their shit. Can't wait for that remastered version of 2012 to drop. I'm not even a fan of instrumental albums but their shit is so dope i dont mind them. Far and away my favorite group out right now. E.P. is mad underrated as an emcee.
