I agree. Lyrically he is consistent with the greats. Never had wack rhymes. For a awhile few years in his career after doe or die, he had a problem with beats. But for the last few years he has been coming with crack. That AWOL album was pretty good.

Anyone who can hang with Nas on tracks has got to be not only consistent but also pretty great too, imo.

Primos given him some great beats in recent years also...

LOL at AZ being "one of the most consistent of all time". He's made plenty of wack albums, to just name one, 9 Lives. Artistically, he's not consistent at all. But for lyrics, I'll co-sign.
He's always been on point in that regard. So it depends on how you look at it. Those two factors combined equate
to him not deserving that title at all.

Az is dope but his shit just gets repetitive after a while in my opinion.

I don't know about most consistent of all time but he is pretty good..I've like AZ better than NAS since I first heard both of them.

I agree he can get repetitive and that 9 lives is not a great album...

He's consistently made good tunes over a long period of time though....

at KID NYCE - i fucked up my post and posted piecesofa(black)man twice and had to modify it. In the process i deleted it entirely. I agree its probably the best on the album..

not really at all.

his albums have had lots of wack tracks all over them. he's been a disappointment when compared to what he was expected to be. he has 2 good albums in a 15+ year span.

that doesnt exactly stink of consistency to me.

ok listen i was high as fuck when i made this post last night and the point of it is pretty unclear.

just an excuse to post some songs cos i was bored to be honest...

some of his albums do have a fair amount of filler, i agree.

he has definately consistently made good tracks since the 90s though. not that many rappers have had such longevity...

'good longevity' is probably a better way to describe AZ's career than 'consistent' considering the filler...
