he started his career making hip hop projects, but has transitioned in to making more latin type music. he's got a tonne of albums, from hip hop to reggae to tropical, etc. here's some goodness:
hip hop:
reggae/dub:
latin:

example:
clutchy:
i don't know. i'm not saying quantic is clutchy, but, of all the hip hop producers, i think he's my number one suspect, for being the man behind the clutchy hopkins music.

posted Friday, August 17, 2012 8:23:09 AM Hmmm, i never gave much thought to quantic possibly being clutchy.. Def not shadow, like you said he is all over the place, but in a good way.. I have a couple of quantics more Hip Hop ish, but i like alot of the latin ish he does too.. You dont see his name tossed about much, but he def makes good music.. Shawn lee doesnt strike me as a possible either, his sounds not on that level,imo.. Could be Greyboy!

posted Friday, August 17, 2012 10:47:10 AM looking at quantic's discography, he goes in different directions, with his different groups, but in a long term way. his flowering inferno group has put out two reggae albums, for example, whereas reggae's absent, at least in the forefront, in all of his other projects. he's also very worldly; came from britain, but now lives in columbia, and deals with musicians from all over the place. these are the primary reasons that i'd believe quantic was clutchy, if somebody told me that. also, quantic and clutchy are both on ubiquity records.
at the end of the day, though, nobody knows who clutchy is, so i don't want to make too many presumptions. clutchy might not even be one guy; he could be a big band of some sort. who knows. it's interesting to think about who he could be though, imo.

posted Monday, August 20, 2012 1:59:46 AM Quantic keeps it versatile, that's a fine attribute to have as a producer/musician. Didn't know he had Hip Hop roots but it goes to show what can stem from it
