We're going to do 4 rounds (around 50 albums per round as there were around 200 albums nominated) and users are going to vote their Top 5 in order with favorite being number 1 and so on down through 5. The number 1 album is worth 5 points, number 2 album 4 points, etc. The 5 albums that total the most points in each round will advance to the final round, which will be posted on Thursday morning. Voting for all rounds close when i wake up Thursday morning.

The finals are going to be the 20 albums that won the four rounds plus three wild cards. The three wild card albums will be the three albums from the four rounds with the highest point total outside of the final 20.

Just a friendly reminder, if you vote for less than 5 albums then the point scale is adjusted accordingly for your votes so try to vote for 5.

Tical 2000 is dope as fuck and is one of those albums that has continued to grow on me as the years have past. Ironically i wasn't big on it when it dropped. I think it was a combination of reasons for why i hated on this album when it dropped. I wanted it to be more Tical in terms of the dusty, dark Rza beats which this wasn't. Also because of it being 4 years between albums i had 'classic album' expectations for it. The ridiculous amount of skits was a buzzkill. Lastly this album dropped the same day as La The Darkman - Heist Of The Century. I remember copping both the same day. The La turned out to be one of my favorite Wu Fam albums of all time so instead of looking at those albums independently i sort of compared them to each other back then.

Anyway i just drove around for a couple hours and listened to it from front to back. Besides the annoying abundance of skits there were only a couple tracks that were on the weaker side (Retro Godfather and Party Crasher). The all star production line up on here really didn't disappoint and Method Man has one of the illest voices in hip hop history combined with a great flow so no matter the content as long as the beats are great the albums is going to be elevated.

Method Man- Tical 2000: Judgement Day
Sunz of Man- The Last Shall be First

L'Roneous Da'Versifier- Imaginarium

A Book of Human Language and Imaginarium are very similar albums imo. Deep lyrics and heavy beats.
