Been waiting for the 3xLP repress of What's Wrong with Bill. Def copping that.

Actually some pretty good releases this year.
I like the Robert Johnson, Gravediggas, Frank Zappa, Saul William's, Cannibal Ox, Devo, and The Breeders.

NWS you're so hip hop dude

I know, thanks. It's hard out here for a hip hop pimp.

I like the releases too, especially Gravediggaz.

Might cop that Talking Heads album too...

Are any of those Soundtracks worth copping? I didn't recognize any of them.

"flood" is the dopest herbie hancock album and a top 10 live album of all times, no matter what genre ... it's actually herbie and the headhunters ... I'm curious if it's a remastered version but I doubt it will sound better than the old japanese pressing...

doesn't say if it's remastered...

NEVER BEFORE RELEASED COMMERCIALLY ON VINYL IN THE US!
This double live outing from Herbie Hancock was recorded in Tokyo in July of 1975. Backed up by The Headhunters, Hancock runs through selections from his albums Head Hunters, Thrust and Man-Child – that last project still being months away from release at the time of this recording. Get On Down’s Black Friday reissue of the vinyl will be the first US release for the double LP, ever.

A Side Introduction & Maiden Voyage Actual Proof
B Side Spank-A-Lee Watermelon Man
C Side Butterfly Chameleon
D Side Hang Up Your Hang Ups

^^^ I wouldn't compare "flood" to "live evil" or the electric miles sound in general as miles got a heavy rock influence while the headhunters added funky rhythms to herbie's mid-70s sound...

btw, do you know miles' '74 live recording "dark magus" where he was joined by 3 guitar players? it's an awesome album but it took me lots of listening sessions under the influence of shrooms to get into it, hahaha...

the guitar players are pete cosey and reggie lucas who also played with miles on later recordings like "agartha" and "pangaea" and a young guy from france, dominique gaumont who was heavily influenced by jimi hendrix ... it's an ill album, if you like hendrix you'll love it...

sounds interesting. jazz purists will shit all over my jazz taste kinda like my rap taste lol. cuz my favorites are flute and guitar and most purists think those albums are cheesy. and i love fusion. standard jazz needs to be somethin else for me to play it, most of the time i need it mixed with somethin like funk or rock and im a huge afro jazz and brasilian jazz fan. i dont own much jazz on vinyl nemore tho.

Gravediggaz, Can OX and the Octagon are getting copped. Yo Nerdy, you're the only guy on the internet with even a shred of info on the remix record. Dan played a 10 second snippet of the Aviator Hype remix on IG and it sounded illy.
