Word Texas underground. The next two albums are also produced by factor. I cant think of a better duo right now. Broken bone ballads and sad, fat luck are both nearly flawless

^^^^ makes no sense i only started listening to that recently. Those are rare singles besides retreat. Music is timeless Dumbass and i am always on the lookout for original breakbeats soul funk no matter what year it is but since u are too busy trying to suck off the latest commercial garbage trend u would not understand this.

Its hard to discuss music with commercial wrap fans they are the dumbest cromags to walk this earth and on top of that canadian commercial pop wrap fanboys.

Choosey/Exile - Black Beans
Every time Exile works with an emcee on a whole album it's either a classic or near classic. I think this one is probably on the same level as Fashawn's Boy Meets World and Dag Savage's E&J, but probably shouldn't be placed above either Blu's Below The Heavens or Give Me My Flowers... I feel like Exile is really underrated given his track record. I have been playing Exile's Dirty Science producer album from 2006 and it's damn good (much better than I remembered).

People Under The Stairs - Sincerely, The P
This album is as good as anything they have released outside of maybe, OST or Question. I'm not sure why more people aren't talking about this album... it will clearly be in my top 10 for 2019.

Myka 9/AbnormaL Injustice - Tonight's Program
I will be the first to say that Myka's output can sometimes be hit-or-miss. After 2017's Teleported with Freematik, I considered not purchasing future albums from Myka. I enjoyed last year's A New Susperia and this year's High Maintenance Jackson from Myka, but this album feels like the best of his last five albums (at least since Famous Future Time Travel with Factor). I still prefer his early and mid-career output, but this is still pretty good and better than expected.

On Tilt - The Tiltalation
For those of you that have been hanging around this board since the late 90's, many of you will remember the Bay Area group Sacred Hoop. Luke Sick, the Hoops' emcee, continues to release great throwback hip-hop under a whole host of different monikers and groups. The above release is a Bay Area mix featuring Luke Sick and other members of the record label, Megakut Records. L'Roneous (of Last 2 Serve and Double Life fame) also makes an appearance. This probably isn't Luke Sick's best recent album, but it's the one that has my attention this week. If you are looking for Luke Sick's best output post-Sacred Hoop, then make sure and check the following groups: On Tilt, Strike The Clutch, Dankslob, Grand Invincible, Rime Force Most Illin' and Grand Killa Con. I am still baffled as to why Sacred Hoop never made the big time...

Guilty Simpson - Carved From Stone
When I first heard Guilty, I didn't understand J Dilla's infatuation with the guy. But, he's an emcee that has grown on me over time, which is really unusual for a street emcee to hook me more after multiple listens. At this point, I don't miss Guilty releases... this one isn't his best release, but even the tracks that look like a train wreck on paper (Got Your Back w/Georgia Anne Muldrow) seem to work. I always get more play from Guilty releases then I anticipate and this EP is no exception.

Went to the Ghostface show last night, amazing. Him and Killah Priest on stage. Got to meet them both after the show, super cool. Also met M-80. I may or may not have mentioned UGHH and Kraze Evolved haha, I was fairly drunk. All cool dudes. Great night.

I listened to these yesterday:

Nipsey Hussle - Victory Lap - really a great album through and through. There are a couple tracks that sound repetitive but overall a solid release. Love seeing Jake One on some of the production. The title track and Dedication with Kendrick were the 2 best tracks imo. Right Hand 2 God is really good too.

The Grouch - Unlock The Box - this was a surprise since I've been sitting on the CD for a minute. 2 of the tracks that disappointed were the one with his daughter, Unconditional, (should have been the last track labeled as Bonus) and Good Gold with Myka 9. I am actually shocked at how bad that song is. It's produced by Elusive too, who I love. The rest of the album is really good. Nothing new with Grouch's solo releases. Other Side is the best track imo. The Drummer and Push are right behind for top shelf listening.

Herbie Hancock - Flood

This was an RSD release from last year.
Cee-Cut was dropping knowledge on it, so I had to cop. He was right...one of the best live albums ever. Amazing performance.

Also:

Kendrick Lamar - Section.80 - check the thread

Anytime I ever met RZA I've always called him Bobby. The first time I saw him he was walking with his boy and I yelled "Yo Bobby" he turned right around and chopped it up with me and my homie for a good 10 mins. My boy tried to give him a cd, but he wouldnt take it lol.
