i'm just curious at to what people think about the movement and have they reached their peak, or do they have a lot of wind in they sails left?

i'm a fan of the music, but seeing/hearing less and less talk, seeing people dumping their entire collections/collectibles, demand for merch declining a ittle, and overall drop in enthusiasm on social media sites...is it indiciative that people have moved on already?

...just sparking some convo. peace.

You try to dies me, then pose a disempowering question on them.

They are fine. Who cares about buzz.

As long as music is made that's all that matters in my books.

speaking of which, surprised no one posted this:

I will say this, maybe it's one of those things that since they got signed some listeners expect what brought them to the table to be adulterated by Inerscope in order to present them to a larger scale audience.

The productivity slowed a little as to be expected. I still think they are dope and look forward to each of their projects. They have to pace themselves as the larger distribution through shady is gonna present more red tape. I'm looking forward to the Butcher on Steroids tape as I think Benny is the nicest of them all.

Not feeling that Conway/Meyhem track whatsoever. Co-sign that beat sucks.

Griselda peaked from May 2015 through March 2016. In that time they dropped Hitler 2, Reject 2, and Flygod. Those are the three best releases from the camp. Since then they've dropped a bunch of meh releases and mixtapes. I get when you sign with a major it's going to limit your output so i guess only time will tell. I wonder how much signing with a major is going to alter GOAT.

i think Alfredo might be right, i didn't hear much talk after that Hitler On Steroids dropped, which was essentially a Best Of...and after that been hella quiet. Even the hardcore old fans don't seem to enthused about the movement as they once was

I think theyre saving their best material & dropping the mediocre shit...Gun did the same thing before he dropped Flygod so did Conway before Reject 2...i think Griselda needs some diversity or their wave will die soon...like how Rocafella had Kanye, Griselda needs that x factor & it aint Benny or Mach Hommy..

I hope it's not true but it'd make sense if they never put out good music again. I hope they at least got some good money out of this deal. I don't see Shady records ever putting out an album that doesnt sound totally retarded.

Conway's "GOAT" will probably be at least halfway decent

Benny would do justice to a proper album with production from alchemist, daringer, madlib, and twiz, or giallo point...but i bet wsg doesnt want to see him outshine flygod so easily

Otherwise i will say westsidegunn's whole style is played out and even daringer sounds a bit overworked lately

me not ever being a Shady anything fan, also never ever been an Eminem fan (can't stand his music), and being a Griselda fan, you can see how i disliked the move...but i honestly don't have high hopes for any future projects now.

I will agree with the consensus that Butcher On Steroids will be a vital part to keeping their momentum in full swing & he is def nice with it.
Once again, these dudes have an unorthodox delivery as far as the fashion & merch go somewhat like Fahim (just not to that extreme extent), but they were willing to forsake some of that exclusivity for the opportunity at larger distribution to continue to grow their movement, platform and fan base.
I'm sure there will be demand for their previous projects to be repressed as well, and that demand can be met as they grow. That's why people are selling their vinyls now, because there's a chance they may not be so rare in the future if there is indeed demand for them.
Also it looks like they rock well live & can pack places, cause the shows look live as fuck when I see video of them.
To me, their live show is one of the things that seem underrated and will help them.

This is where Fahim hurts himself, cause if he ever decides to go live he's gonna have a hard time packing shows with the 3 people that pay 1000 bucks to hear his album.

Daddy Alrfredo, sadly I think WSG is going to play the background more.

He wants to be more of a Puffy type for Conway and Benny. I know he and Conway have Hall & Nash part 2 coming out, produced by Alchemist. But besides that album, I don't think WSG has any immediate plans for a Flyogd follow up. :/

I know that have some heat right now, and momentum, so I really hope they drop Hall & Nash 2, or that Conway drops GOAT this year. I think they need to strike while the iron is hot, and GOAT was supposed to drop last Christmas.

I have my doubts, but I keep hearing the Shady deal is only a distribution deal and that Griselda will retain 100% creative control. Who knows? I know that right now GOAT is mostly production from Daringer, then Alchemist has a few beats, and there's a beat from Statik and a beat from Premier. Maybe 1 or 2 others, but that's the bulk of it. I have no idea about the features.

Why did Mach leave? I know he's still cool with Griselda, but did he just want to do his own thing?

Great little pieces of info WhiteMike. I don't mind if WSG takes more of a background approach as he's another dude that's gotten lazy as fuck with his rhymes since Flygod.

Why did Mach leave? I know he's still cool with Griselda, but did he just want to do his own thing?

It might've had to do with Griselda and Fahim parting ways cause of creative differences. Seems like Mach and Fahim are pretty tight.

i'll be honest, i don't even tho i'm a big fan of the movement, i don't check for their stuff as much as i do Mach/Fahim/Heem stuff tbh ...i think West did fall off a bit since Flygod, maybe it is as you say, maybe he just not into it as much anymore, who knows...but i think if GOAT don't drop this year, and be REALLY good as it's been hyped, might be the beginning of the end for them...Benny nasty tho, and i think he can still put out a fire album
