real hodge podge of awful for this one

the godfathers shit is just too long. if this was 12-13 tracks it woulda been really great. but it suffers from being long winded and necro literally has the worst hooks in rap history after block mccloud, cringe worthy. but g rap kills this album big time.

late registration is a classic. last kanye album i cared about but its incredible. i can put aside my hate for the man cuz the album is basically perfect.

41st side is another one thats long winded as fuck but still an unsung queensbridge album. i actually watched the prodigy funeral service video on youtube before i peeped this and it made it better than wat it is.

just bumped group home - living proof
and method man - tical.

right now im in the middle of compiling a bunch of sean p songs for a second disc to my sean p features & rarities mixtape series i've been working on since his passing. i bumped a shit load of sean p last night and i am hype af for imperious rex.

yo alfredo you ever bump brown bag allstars? in particular, koncept's awaken album?? a real sleeper gem imho

ps... the g rap and necro is horrible. i can't even listen to it due to necro and g's mailed in one verse per track.

Didn't someone here compile A G Rap only version of that Godfathers LP?
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Necro.
Truth be told, I have nuff respect for him and hold I Need Drugs, Gory Days & parts of The Pre Fix in high regard, but sometimes I'm just not in that mode.

man oh man, this version of mood indigo is something special. before this album, duke could only record short tracks (2-3min), because of the limitations of records back then, even though the concert versions were long, complex pieces. in other words, his recordings up until this point were typically just shortened appetizers of his real songs. this album is the first time he could record these four songs in full in a studio setting. and, man, was it worth the wait. fav tracks: mood indigo

Going to try and snag tickets to this next week when they go up for sale. Been waiting for one of these since Alamo Drafthouse announced they would be expending their immerse movie screenings outside of Austin. This is the same company that hosts the Jaws On The Water events where everyone watches Jaws while swimming in the lake.

This one is for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Great date night

Guests will converge upon a secret location, then spend the afternoon on a tour of filming locations with stops along the way for photo ops and beach activities. The outing will culminate that evening with a screening under the stars and overlooking the beach while lounging in beds. Plus, all attendees get a replica of Clementine’s iconic (and cozy) orange hoodie!

Nice I've heard great things about A Ghost Story. I have no idea what the Angels in America thing is but it looks cool. I haven't been to much theater, but would like to check more. Years ago when I was an intern for Sirrus Satalite I recorded the Upright Citizens Brigade anniversary show. It's a world famous improve comedy/theater show. Apparently guys like Jason Alexander, Amy Poehler, Adam McKay, etc all got their start their.

good call on the nothing 88, dude is too dope.
first 3 on itunes playlist

1.freddie gibbs/madlib - scarface - pinata
^^^dope album but this song is the standout for me. killer beat and gibbs just does real well all together on madlib production.

2. awon/phoniks - profit off my pain - knowledge of self

^^^^an awon song with substance and as usual great phoniks beat. wish phoniks would produce for better rappers.

3. roc marcy/bronson/willie the kid - sincerely antique - the pimpire strikes back

^^^best song off pimpire. shit is so awesome. sample is crazy and all 3 go nuts. love it to death.

holy shit! this album is fucking my kind of music. thelonious in a trio with a bass and drums? playing the duke? fuck yes. i just discovered the album a few days ago, and been going fucking heavy with it. whenever i roll through the rough neighborhoods, i roll my windows down and crank this shit up, it's so dope. all the crips nod in recognition, like, oh, that's the monk. damn, this is a good album. even though i like horn instruments in jazz, there's something real special to me when it's just a piano, a bass, and the drums. picking a fav track is tough, because it's short and i love them all. fav tracks: it don't mean a thing, caravan, mood indigo

prof, i've listened to better late than never and close my eyes by the slackers more than most other albums in my life. my friends literally used to hit play on close my eyes as soon as we all met up after school, basically daily.

i just looked, and unfortunately the slackers never put out any instrumental albums - other than a dub album, which i'm not interested in - which is a real shame. listen to the final track, contemplation, on better late than never. damn, i wish there was a whole album of tracks like that, and it really sucks that there isn't. that'd be pure gold to me.

since you say you used to be a ska boy, do you know any instro ska albums i could check out that might wet my appetite here.

had coffee again this morning with my older lady friend (just a friend) shes 60. she was john (guy who shot himself) his alcohol sponsor. i think she gets off on making me angry. everytime i went outside to have a cigarette id come back and a new cup of coffee would be ther. she goes "drink it" and shes not poisoning me but her eyes light up like shes baking a christmas ham wen i get loud and talk with my hands. i dunno but shes a sweet lady and a dear friend now. then i went to my job and brought the girl im talking to currently a whole tub of peanut butter pretzels and had to remind her i was in my basket ball shorts and she told me she already peeped. i was swingin somethin hard today. had to piss really bad from all the coffee and was half cocked wen i walked in ther. i was obscene.

Thanks for putting me on to that Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown, along with some others i cant remember but prolly still play now and then. You're a real music dude my G.
