Any real hip hop head should recognize this album as a 5 mic classic. Too many dope songs to name a favorite. Bangin' this right now:

Like I told you before fucktard...I'll post whatever I want. What are you the hip hop police? Go fuck yourself.

Besides... you wouldn't know good music if it crawled up your ass and started throwing chairs.

Cant find a weak moment on this album. Guest spots are all dope. Beats are great and Gibbs rhymed his ass off.

I like this album, but I can't call it a classic. Thuggin was the best song/video to drop that year though no question. I I like Gibbs and that album cause it's gangsta af, but there was a few tracks I couldn't fuck with. 4☆;

Pretty good but overrated as evidenced by this threads title.

My cut paste from a different Pinata thread was made few months ago...

I bumped Pinata today for the first time in well over a year to see if i missed anything. Still feel the same way, some hella dope, some good, some decent, and some sub par shit. 7/10 and i stick with my original assessment of the album...

Once Bomb starts this album really fucking takes off. Beat on that track is so ill. Other stand outs for me from that point on are...

Shitsville - Beat was tailor made for Gibbs' style of spitting
Real - He pwned Jeezy on that track and the beat switch is so dope
Thuggin - One of my favorite tracks of 2011 so naturally one of, if not the best track on here
Robes - Nice, smooth, laid back shit. Love that sample. Not gonna front, I actually dig Domo. Most heads on here sweat Earl from that overrated crew but to me Domo is the only dude worth a shit.
Broken - Gibbs and Face over a chilled Madlib beat, nuff said.

Lakers, Knicks, and Uno are also dope but not on the level as the above tracks. Not feeling Shame and while Piņata is a sick beat (even though its very similar to that 'Biggie' beat with a couple different, minor intricacies) the emcee line up is underwhelming to say the least. Yea that Wac Miller verse is an early nominee for worst of the year.

7/10 through one listen. Weather also nailed it in that Madlib's sequencing from track to track is top shelf but a little too much filler and a few weaker beats with some horrible guest verses sprinkled in knocked it down a few pegs.

lol at this fuckin guy. Hates on everything and calls people faggit for listening to dope shit. What a fuckin bum. And he gets banned and comes back to do the same shit? What a loser! Your mother's a dirty tranny piss mop rockin a shitty lopsided wig. She looks like Captin Lou Albano. Fuck that bitch.

Anyway not sure why Clockworx just skipped over the whole beginning of the album in his review. Scarface, Deeper, High and Harolds are some of the best tracks on the album. You not feelin those?

Aside from some of the features the reuse of samples is my only gripe. I prefer the fat Joe, tony sunshine cool n dre track over walk of shame.

wat keeps it from classic is the features. and i think some tracks shoulda been exchanged for instrumental interludes. gibbs shouldnt rap on more than 10-11 tracks. dude gets old quick.

Gibbs doesn't have a classic.

At his best, gibbs is the ignorant rap you put on when your fucked up and feelings very egotistical.

Gibbs is best as a guest spot rapper. Shout out to Jive Turkey.
