posted Saturday, September 22, 2012 11:32:43 AM Sometimes when the rye, xannies and herb all meet I go into a black out spending spree. Usually its a hundred or two but I just spent over 2gs last night.
I bought furniture and expensive art, some unmentionables, I got my Giant Method 24 BMX cruiser and purchased some redline bars and new grips for flat black refinish of the bike (Ill post my process)I hired a maid to clean my house every two weeks, booked a gutter cleaning appointment and purchased a new garage opener and scheduled an install.
So I got this which Im diggin as a jump off to throw your keys on in my dining room aka the 1st room you walk into.
This is my bike. Giant Method 24 2009. Consider it a blank slate as Im blacking it out. Solid $500 bike I picked up for 160 with cobwebs all over it.Here is is cleaned up a bit.
Rode it for a mile at 2 am all fucked up and about half way in forgot I was out of shape and I turned home and rode home with quads of fire. Bearings need to be cleaned as this has been sitting in a garage for years. Im thinking a full blackout. Also got the AME grips I had when I was riding way back then.

What you think I so refinish the bike as tony?
I got these redline chromo bars last night as I didnt like have to lean forward and down to reach my grips.
I ride laid back.

If you're comfortable sitting down and riding at that height those handlebars will be trill as fuck... I had a nice little cruiser but the bars were too low and I hated hunching over whilst riding.. Was gonna get the bars replaced but it shit the bed so I gave it to the young black youth in my building to use for parts

Please ignore the faggy little plastic things on the back of the wheels, they are annoying and I removed them as soon as I got home. The frame is decent but after a few years it feels a little rickety. Now I understand why ppl spend like $800-2G on a solid ass frame. It's a good bike but I wouldn't enter any races with it - but like you said its gotta be "laid back" when you ride and that's what this shit is

Brought the handle bar rise from 5 to 8.5
Will be the same set up as old school bmx cruisers this way.
This is a weekly occurrence. This is last weekends late night black out purchases. I always get surprised at the door.
I never remember what it was till I open it.

posted Saturday, September 22, 2012 12:05:19 PM Nah I got rid of that one too... That shit was fun for a while but it took a toll on me going great distances.. Riding to work which is 4 or 5 miles each way, then ridin to the beach on some days which is like another 5 miles... I needed something that could switch gears and I was more comfortable sitting on.
