How many of us – pound to discover?
Not many of us - because we’re bound to our struggles
Ask me why we cut up - ‘til we’re down to the stubble
Same reason we get stoned - down to the rubble
Wound ‘til we’re muffled
Ground ‘til our muscles - are knotted to the point - we can’t untie them or adjust them
Here we go again to get a - bottle of the Russian
Drink ‘til we’re so wasted, Port-a-potties wouldn’t touch us
How many love us?
Are any of us - able to face who we’ve empowered above us?
Think it’s too late? It’s either now or it’s never
Make an escape – stop singing down for whatever
Hanging ‘round whoever
Banging out of terror
I know another way – you’ve got to find you a mirror
Are you a pivotal part who’s willing to pull us…
out of ignorant thought to be proud of living to menace
I am not an exhibit
But I’ve lied I admit
Played it off, hiding behind a mind on them digits
In hind I’ve regretted
From now on I’ll set it - on fire until it’s so far behind I forget it
It’s normal to fall a few thousand times ‘til you get it

love is the struggle, but so many struggle to love
giving up our energies to what's around and above
bound to the past by rereading the chapters
not writing new ones even though we have to
because everyday is a new beginning
but the story gets redundant when every sentence has the same ending
depending on others to make you forget how much you don't think you're shit
but then treat you like it, then you wanna quit relationships
you are tied to everything weather you like it or not
stop living life by skimping and skimming off the top
because the bottom line is the sum of all parts
and it's not about the journey if you really don't start
