I haven't touched this place in years but for a long time for about 5 yrs straight, this place was my cnn, my msnbc,, with tips, news, etc. for this craft that I still love with all my heart.. Alas I am no longer even doing beats, or engineering as it took up alot of my years and while i made some money off it as the internet changed, the money game changed.. the day i saw someone on here posting beats for $25 i knew this games days were numbered.. The day I went from making $800-1200 a beat to people wanting to pay $50 for a fruity loops beat I knew it was time to pack it in.. i miss this place with all my heart because it really developed me as a producer back in the day whihle going to Full Sail developed me as an engineer.. I am now not in the biz at all.. go figure.. I own my own company doing video marketing, social media management, copywriting, and search engine management yet i always tend to get comments abouut my blog posts because i always put instrumentals into my videos, that always fit with my poems and posts. I will always appreciate the time i sepnt here whether it was laughing from the ongoing battle between Kirt T and SFS, watching Kotik getting banned 15-20 times when his name was trioptic, then trioptic 1, trioptic, 2, 3, etc..lol.. I remember the epic battle between myself and Smithers, aka Gabrielshears... laughing at the dumb assess who got scammed in here because they would send off their $1,200 motifs, and tritons to trade, and never get anything back in return, the epic debates on hardware vs software, the time that one young nig got caught jacking beats from here and selling them to other people like if they were his own.. the photoshopped murdered that kid on here.. wow.. those were the days... just wanted to stop by and see what it was like to leave a post here after 4 yrs or so.. please excuse my grammatical errors as it's my day off and i'm high and Quest never got around to adding a spellcheck to this damn forum... I would never let a post like this go live on my blog, but this is ughh...=) It will always have a special place in my heart...

I miss the forum's golden years, and agree on multiple points. For a while, it was a small group on here - and everyone was doing something. Amazing how small the world is sometimes, I would run into artists all over the country, and ughh would come up.
Of course, that was way before the $5 beat websites. Shit, I remember posting on here when UGHH and the now extinct HHI (HipHopInfinity) were the ONLY options on the entire internet for underground.
It seems the downfall started right around the time Chauncey and his 8000 aliases showed up. Jus sayin...Partial IP: 112.155.10 |

I hate having to reload (sllowwlly) 10 times before my post actually gets submitted. Tired of seeing this:

I never really minded the mean comments. People would take it way too seriously. A lot of the best tips I got were from here, including one I got that pretty much changed the way I made ebats forever.
Where y'all mostly chillin at now? Maybe I'll migrate instead of checking here every couple of weeks only to see Jersey adds and wack ass Chauncy/Man posts.
